i am a drummer and percussionist based in New York City. i'm a co-founder and artistic director of the percussion collective mantra percussion. i've played with rock bands including hi red center, the knells, lanz, and these days... thee reps! i've collaborated with artists including Ian Williams (Battles), Greg Saunier (Deerhoof), Squarepusher, Xiu Xiu, Ikue Mori, and others. i also manage red poppy music and the bang on a can sound — publishing, promoting and managing the works of michael gordon, david lang and julia wolfe, the co-founders of bang on a can.
